The chamber ensemble of the Dvořák Symphony Orchestra presents highlights of classical music, enriched by ballet and vocal soloists — 26 performers on stage.

The concert takes place in Prague’s magnificent Smetana Hall, the main hall of the Municipal House and one of the city’s most beautiful concert venues.

The Municipal House, completed in 1912 on the site of the former Royal Court, is a celebrated symbol of Czech culture. Blending Art Nouveau with neo-Baroque, neo-Renaissance and oriental influences, it belongs among the architectural jewels of Prague and is a distinguished setting for world-class classical concerts, including the Prague Spring Festival.

Smetana Hall, where the Czechoslovak Republic was proclaimed in 1918, is today devoted primarily to music. Its Slavic-themed murals, stained-glass ceiling, gilded lighting and grand organ create a uniquely harmonious atmosphere.
