Waltzes, polkas and a Czech flourish for the New Year – 60 musicians in the Dvořák Hall of Prague's Rudolfinum.
In the spirit of the famous Vienna New Year's Concert, welcome the new year with an evening of sparkling waltzes and playful polkas. Alongside Johann Strauss's beloved Blue Danube and the irresistible Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, the programme opens with the fiery Czech dance from Smetana's The Bartered Bride - a joyful celebration performed by 60 musicians of the North Czech Philharmonic under the golden ceiling of the Rudolfinum's Dvořák Hall.
A Czech flourish gives way to a cascade of Viennese waltzes and polkas - the perfect toast to the New Year.
