Rudolfinum, Suk Hall

About the venue

Chamber music at its most intimate — concerts in the Suk Hall of Prague's Rudolfinum, named after Dvořák's pupil and son-in-law Josef Suk.

The Suk Hall is the chamber concert hall of the Rudolfinum, the Neo-Renaissance home of the Czech Philharmonic on the bank of the Vltava, built in 1876–1884 to the designs of Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz. While the building's grand Dvořák Hall hosts the great symphonic evenings, the Suk Hall has been a home of chamber music for over a hundred years.

An Intimate Hall with Excellent Acoustics

Named after the composer Josef Suk — Antonín Dvořák's pupil and son-in-law — the hall seats 211 listeners and is renowned for acoustics that let every detail of chamber music and piano recitals shine. A major renovation in 2015 further enhanced its sound, comfort and versatility, making it one of the finest chamber venues in Prague.
