The concert is a fusion of solo organ music and string quintet. The program consists of majestic organ compositions (Bach, Dvořák), intertwined with famous tunes (Mozart, Schubert, Haydn), prominently Vivaldi's Four Seasons. These violin concerts are among the most listened-to and admired works of classical music and became a jewel of Italian Baroque music.

Performer Viktor Mazáček, a member of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, will be alternating with equally high-quality Prague violinists, accompanied by the Capella Regia Prague. He also collaborates with various chamber orchestras (the Chamber Orchestra of the Dvořák Region, the Camerata Bohemica), he is a member of the Trojan trio and the Hecht ensemble. Since he is a big fan of authentic interpretation of early music, he regularly performs with the orchestra Capella Regia Praha (Robert Hugo).

All the performers are under the artistic direction of renowned organist Robert Hugo. The concert will offer a unique confrontation of organ music with a captivating intimate sound of the string ensemble.

Robert Hugo - Organ
He is a specialist on Czech and South German Baroque music. In 1998 he made the famous recording of Czech Christmas Mass by Jakub Jan Ryba for the Deutsche Gramophon staring Magdalena Kožená. Robert Hugo teaches at the Academy of Early Music of the Masaryk University in Brno. He is currently an organist in the Church of the Holy Saviour in Prague.

Built between 1578 and 1601, St. Salvator Church is part of Prague's famous Klementinum. It is situated close to Charles Bridge and marks the entrance to the Old Town. St. Salvator Church is considered Prague's most valuable example of Baroque architecture. The church houses two magnificent organs and hosts a number of classical concerts throughout the year.

Although the church is heated in winter, it is still advisable to wear warm clothes for concerts in the colder months.
